1883s Morgan with Mirror Surface

I bought this key date 1883s Morgan coin years ago from a dealer and it has been one of my favorite coin since. It has a mirror surface, more pronounced on the Obverse than reverse. In original condition with nice lustre and sharp details. A gorgeous coin with nice eye appeal

The Morgan dollar was designed by George T. Morgan and has been termed as the King of Coins. It has been extensively research, studied, documented, and a "must have' by collectors. The Morgan dollar has been described by many collectors as one of the most beautiful coin in the world. The Obverse portrays Lady Liberty and circled thirteen stars and the words "E Pluribus Unum", which means "Out of many, one." The year of issue below.

The reverse exhibits the bald eagle perched on a branch and arrows with wings spread. It is surrounded by a wreath. Above the eagle's head, there is a motto "In God we Trust" and around the rim are the words "United States of America" separated by a star on either side from the words "One Dollar."

The Morgan dollars were minted from 1878 to 1904 and resumed again for one more year in 1921. It was replaced by the Peace dollar

Look at the picture A and B

These two pictures were taken from the same angle
First - to show the details of the coin and
Second - the depth of the mirrored surface.

The Obverse has a stronger mirror surface than the reverse
